Commission Your Special Memories

There are times in one's life that are of significant importance to strengthening relationships and celebrating the joy of sharing life and love with each other. So often people travel together to places that they hold dear to their heart. There are special times that are important in the lives of families that create moments to share in the future. Experiences make memories. Some of my commissions reflect joy found in traveling. Other commissions I've completed of homes, areas and private gardens reflect another side of pride and love.

Memories Make Paintings. There was a young couple who commissioned a Bleich painting of Bali, where they went on their honeymoon. Two years later they returned to commission their second Bleich work of art, a painting of a waterfall in the Milford tract rain forest in New Zealand. A child was conceived on that trip. I felt joy in creating a visual reflection of their journey through life that they could enjoy through the years.

Paintings make Memories. Other commissions created enjoyable family experiences at my studio in Pebble Beach. Some of these were started spontaneously on the day or eve they were commissioned. I had three generations in one family share in the start of their commission, as it occurred during a family reunion. They all added daubs of color under my direction and there was a family bonding that I shared. This enjoyable studio experience was repeated with other commissions while sharing the hospitality of my atelier. They will receive a video tape of the experience that will include clips of my painting trips The Natural Beauty of the Monterey Peninsula Area and portions of a video on my artwork that played on educational channels in major metropolitan cities throughout America.

Collectors Preview of Works in Progress. Many have found it enjoyable to preview my triptych of Giverny in progress. Visually exploring the many paintings I started through out the world is an enjoyable revelation. It is common for collectors of my work to make appointments to purchase these paintings before completion. It greatly expands their choice and selection. A deposit insures the Work of Art will be theirs upon completion.

Enjoyment of the process. I enjoyed the involvement of parents and children, husband and wives, in the creative process . They will know that their daubs of color in the under-painting are there and documented by video.

Commission Approach and Concepts

George J. Bleich. has cultivated the tradition of an artist meeting the visual needs of his clients for over 25 years. His interest lies in creating works of art that will accentuate the beauty that harmonizes and reflects your personal color sense. A colorist who enjoys challenges, he encourages clients to send color swatches, material, etc. On major pieces he will visit clients' homes or, if mutually convenient, meet at the location of the commission painting. (This is usual in his paintings of homes and gardens.) There are other times when he will accrue a certain number of commissions in Europe or elsewhere and go on another painting trip to that part of the world. Though he is capable and has used clients' photographs as points of inspiration, he has also found it enjoyable to start commissions on his frequent painting sojourns.

Bleich has the experience and the knowledge to use the psychology of color and design, insuring that the emotional content of a work of art creates the mood you desire. He encourages you to select places that are special to you and your fanily so that you will have more than a beautiful work of art The work of art will reflect memories of happiness that you shared somewhere in the past. Its special beauty will live on as a legacy of love in the future.

George's expertise will take into consideration the primary and secondary viewing locations, so that the perspective and light source within the work will be consistent from the area viewed and ambient light.

It is George's policy to communicate directly with his clients so they may express what they desire in a work of art. Many factors enter into the selection of a painting. e.g., vertical or horizontal, size, color emphasis and mood projections, all of which are encompassed in the artist's creation for you. The 10% deposit required to initiate a commissioned Bleich painting is, of course, completely refunded should one not be thoroughly pleased. A convenient payment plan is also available for commission works (interest free).
